Cody Chipp, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist, is the owner and operator of Elevation Counseling & Consulting, LLC, and a father of three school-aged children. Dr. Chipp currently provides psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and adults. Psychological assessments include evaluation of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Learning disorders/Giftedness, etc.) and cognitive evaluations (e.g., attention, memory & learning, post-injury assessment, etc.). Organizational consultative services include policy & regulation analysis, program design and evaluation, strategic facilitation, and training. Dr. Chipp earned his doctorate is in Clinical-Community Psychology, with a Rural and Indigenous emphasis from the University of Alaska. Dr. Chipp’s professional background included clinical services in urban and remote areas, including inpatient and outpatient care. Additionally, Dr. Chipp was a Forensic Evaluator for the State of Alaska, employed at Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) 2010-2013. He is recognized as an Expert Witness in Alaska State Courts for Competency Evaluations. He has given Expert Opinions in 140 cases with the Court Ruling and Opinion Concordance Rate of 98% (meaning the Court gave a ruling that that matched Dr. Chipp’s Expert Opinion). He was formerly a Supervising Faculty for the APA-Accredited Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium, and has been a supervising psychologist for pre-doctoral interns, provisionally licensed post-doctoral psychology residents, and for professionals seeking licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Beyond Dr. Chipp’s clinical experience, he has held leadership roles within broader statewide Behavioral Health system. Through the leadership roles, he has provided guidance on Federal and State policies and systems improvement to address behavioral health needs within Alaska. Dr. Chipp’s professional background includes research in rural settings with an emphasis on suicide prevention, and service delivery and health outcomes of underserved populations. In addition to statewide research and policy advocacy, Dr. Chipp participated in circumpolar health research and advocacy as a member of the United States Arctic Research Commission (USARC) Arctic Mental Health Working Group and was a former Co-Chair and member of the Arctic Human Health Expert Group within the Arctic Council during the US Chairmanship (2015-2017).
